Through my Eyes
Through My Eyes is a narrative short film I wrote, directed, and edited that explores perception and miscommunication through the lens of queer partnership. When a colorblind artist unintentionally reveals his condition to his boyfriend, small misunderstandings ripple into deeper questions about visibility, support, and what it really means to be known.
Shot and color-graded to simulate Deuteranopia, the film uses visual distortion to explore emotional difference—treating perception itself as a storytelling device. Like much of my work, Through My Eyes uses structure, rhythm, and point of view to explore how we negotiate closeness, and how emotional truths emerge not just through words, but through the systems we build to live with one another.
